Stroud Café Bridge on behalf of Longfield Community Hospice

Sunday 10th May 2026 10:45am - 4:00pm

We are pleased to announce the return of Stroud's Café Bridge Day, organised by members of Stroud Bridge Club with the help of Victor Lesk in aid of Longfield Community Hospice. The sun always shines on Café Bridge, and it is impossible not to have a good time, especially in the company of Gloucestershire's friendliest bridge players.

Stroud is a historic market town nestling in the shadow of the Cotswolds, a short drive from Bristol or Gloucester and easily accessible by road or rail from London. Our café bridge is the perfect opportunity to visit and find out why Stroud was named the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times in 2021.

For those who would like to make a weekend of it, Stroud Hotel is offering a discount on bedrooms for Café Bridge players, if booked in advance. There are plenty of things to do in and around Stroud, including an award-winning farmers market on Saturday morning. -

The cost to enter the event is £84.00 per pair, lunch included. Please sign up below using the link for your preferred payment method.

Our event is in aid of Longfield - find out more about them here can be found here:

Scores are entered by players on their phones using the BriAn app-based scoring system. This allows us to declare a winner very soon after the last board is played. If you have not come across BriAn before, you can find out more here.

Instructions for arrival on the 10th May: Registration will be held at from 10:00am onwards, at The Stroud Hotel, Station Road, Stroud GL5 3AP. Only one member of each partnership needs to register, but if your partnership is scoring, then the phone-owner should be present.

You can find out more about the lively local bridge scene here:

Please contact us with any questions about the event. We look forward to welcoming you on 10th May.
