Preston Café Bridge Drive in aid of The Rosemere Cancer Foundation at Royal Preston Hospital

Preston Bridge Club is delighted to announce the first ever Café bridge to be held in the north of England. Proceeds for the event will go to the wonderful Rosemere Cancer Foundation, and we hope to attract players from far and wide as well as our neighbours from Lancaster, Lytham St. Anne's and The Ribble Valley. Café Bridge is a fantastic day out and is growing in popularity, as mentioned in the article in English Bridge. The sun always shines, and it is will be impossible not to have a good game and a good time in the company of the northwest's friendliest bridge players.

Registration opens from 10:00 on Tuesday morning, for an 11:00 start to play. Players are issued with a movement card, and a voucher for lunch to be redeemed at their second venue. Five or six rounds are played, depending on numbers. Play is scheduled to finish just after 4pm, and the final presentation and prizegiving takes place at 4:30.

Scores are entered electronically by players in-running on their smartphones using the BriAn app-based scoring system. This allows us to announce a result very soon after the last board is played. If you have not come across BriAn before, you can find out more here.

The price will be £30 per player to include duplicate bridge, lunch, and coffee on arrival.
