Parsons Green Autumn Café Bridge in aid of Hammersmith and Fulham Giving

Wednesday 30th October 2024

10:45am ‐ 4:00pm CaféBridge

4:00pm ‐ 5:00pm Reception at Andrew Robson Bridge Club

We are pleased to announce the second Parsons Green Autumn Café Bridge of 2024, organised by Michael Brown and Christian Russell with the help Victor Lesk in aid of Hammersmith and Fulham Giving. The sun always shines on Café Bridge, and it is impossible not to have a good time, especially in the company of London and Surrey's friendliest bridge players.

This event takes place in partnership with the Andrew Robson Bridge Club, possibly the UK's best-known place to learn and play bridge. Founded in 1995 by England player and Times columnist Andrew Robson OBE, the comfortable premises are ably managed by Nick Boss, providing courses for all levels, gentle and competitive duplicates, not to mention a fully licensed bar and bookshop. Our café bridge event provides an ideal opportunity to discover this extraordinary place.

Parsons Green Autumn Café Bridge is now provisionally full. However, the organisers are looking for space to expand the event.

More information about our Charity: H&F Giving is a charitable foundation set up to support areas of need in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Densely populated and diverse, the borough suffers from stark levels of inequality: we aim to connect the borough so that every person and every generation can give what they can, or get what they need to thrive.

Since 2018, H&F Giving has distributed over £1 million to local community groups in the borough, supporting local organisations that make a big difference, whether it is supporting digital literacy, helping refugees, or people affected by the cost-of-living crisis. As part of their core activities, H&F run a range of targeted appeals and campaigns in the borough to help unlock support. This includes raising funds for a Christmas Day lunch for older and vulnerable people who would otherwise spend the day alone.

Your participation in the Café Bridge will directly support H&F Giving's efforts to empower our local community. This event is not just about playing bridge; it's also about making a tangible difference in Hammersmith and Fulham.
