What personal information does the BriAn App collect?

The BriAn app may under some circumstances ask you for your name and your membership ID number of your national contract bridge federation. The App does not store any of this information.

What is this information used for?

This information is used to allow your participation in duplicate bridge tournaments run using the BriAn electronic scoring system.

How is it kept secure?

The app does not store any of this information at all.

Is any information collected by the app shared with third parties?

If you using the app to participate in a bridge tournament, the app will share the name and federation ID that you provide with the organisers of the tournament, for the presumed purpose of their publishing a leaderboard, and interfacing with your national bridge grading system.

What control do I have over this?

If you do not wish to share your name with the organisers, you are encouraged to use a pseudonym. It may be a condition of entry of certain bridge tournaments that you share you real name and federation ID with the organisers. You may avoid this by refraining from entering any tournament which imposes these conditions.
