Bothwell Café Bridge in aid of Susan Aitchison Scholarship Fund

Helping young people from Lalibela stay in education

Friday 15th May 2026 10:45am - 4:00pm

We are pleased to announce Bothwell's inaugural Café Bridge Day in aid of Susan Aitchison Scholarship Fund organized By Margaret McCallum and Maureen Rennie with the help of Victor Lesk. The sun always shines on Café Bridge, and it is impossible not to have a good time, especially in the company of Scotland's friendliest bridge players.

Bothwell Café Bridge is now provisionally full. However, the organisers are looking for space to expand the event.

Bothwell Café Bridge is now full for 2026.

Please click the following link to register your interest in participating. In case of a cancellation, we will contact you and find out if you are still available to play.

The cost to enter the event is £60.00 per pair, to include a day of convivial bridge and a light lunch. Please sign up below using the link, after which payment instructions will be sent to you.

If you were on the waiting list but have been given a place, please pay using one of these methods:

We intend to update this page over the next few days with the final sum raised for Susan Aitchison Scholarship Fund. In the meantime please send us any feedback on the event and we will use this to help improve for future events.

We look forward to welcoming you at the next Bothwell Café Bridge.

More information about our beneficiary can be found here:

Instructions for arrival on the 15th May: Registration will be held at Bothwell Community Hub, No. 2 Main Street G71 8RF, from 10:00am onwards. Only one member of each partnership needs to register, but if your partnership is scoring, then the phone-owner should be present.

Scores are entered by players on their phones using the BriAn app-based scoring system. This allows us to declare a winner very soon after the last board is played. If you have not come across BriAn before, you can find out more here.

Please contact us with any questions about the event. We look forward to welcoming you on 15th May.
